Abstract

519,008. High draft apparatus. PROSS, B., and BALDUS, F. Aug. 30, 1938, No. 7014/39. Divided out of 5573/38. [Class 120 (ii)] In high draft apparatus for spinning-frames upper rollers 8, 9 co-operating with a belt are mounted in a bracket 10, the former, which is shaped as shown in Fig. 3 to serve as a guide for the belt, being freely controlled by a rib 16, and the latter carried in a slot 12. A guide rod 5, which is provided with flanges to confine the belt, is carried in a slot 11 below the slot 12. The belt may be arranged as shown in Fig. 1 so that the main draft is effected between the rear and middle rollers 2, and a secondary draft between the middle and front rollers 19, between which a guide bar 20 is arranged. The surface of the roller 9 may be roughened.
