Abstract
502,027. Two-part couplings. BOSCH. AKT.-GES., R. Sept. 9, 1937, No. 24550. Convention date, Sept. 11, 1936. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XI] In a motor-vehicle headlamp which is built into the body 3 of the vehicle and has no casing but has a cover-ring 5 carrying a reflector 7, a cap 12 internally provided with contact springs 14 for an incandescent lamp or lamps 10, 11 and carrying externally accessible connection terminals 15 for the lamp contacts, is placed over one end of the reflector and is so disposed that the cap and lamp or lamps can be withdrawn as a unit rearwardly of the reflector. The lamps 10, 11 are mounted in a socket-plate 9. The cap 12 is made of mouldable insulating material, and is held on the plate 9 by a projection or projections 13. The cap and plate are held on the reflector by a stirrup member 16, which is mounted rotatably on the cover ring 5 and rides over a ramp surface 17 into a groove on the cap.
