Abstract
499,984. Ozone apparatus. MOSS, E. W. (Soc. Labocip) Sept. 29, 1937, No. 26343. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 2, 1938.] [Class 39 (i)] In electric-discharge apparatus for producing ozone of the kind comprising three concentric glass tubes 2, 3, 4 forming a central annular, treater chamber and an inner and outer chamber which are closed and filled with an electrolyte into which dip the terminals 8 of an alternating current source, the concentric tubes are made of a homogeneous glass, having a uniform resistivity of relatively high value, and the central tube has flared ends 5 connected to enlarged caps 9 into and from which the inlet and outlet tubes 10, 11 pass at rightangles. The glass of the tubes is preferably a tungsten or molybdenum glass or the glass known under the Registered Trade Mark "Pyrex."
