Abstract

A mosaic electrode for a cathode-ray tube is made by depositing, e.g. evaporating in vacuo, a suitable metal, e.g. silver, on an insulating-base, e.g. mica, in a layer so thin that the particles are adequately insulated from each other. Preferably, the layer of metal is such as to reduce the transparency of the mica to 70-80 per cent of its original value. Specifications 407,521 and 480,946, [both in Group XL], are referred to.
