Abstract

483,170. Driving-chains. BERRY, J. Feb. 8, 1937, No. 3674. [Class 24] A chain comprises block links and pairs of parallel links alternately, the block links having holes to receive inwardly projecting pins on the adjacent parallel links, the ends of which links carry tongues received in recesses in the ends of the block links. In the form shown, the block links 3 have apertures 8 to receive pins 9 on the overlying links 5 and the projecting portions 1 have recesses 2 interlocking with projections 4 on the end edges of the links 5, the links 1 and 5 being tilted out of their driving position in order to permit the projections 4 to enter the recesses 2.
