482,164. Racquet shaft. ACCLES & POLLOCK, Ltd., and WHITE, F. C. Feb. 8, 1937, No. 3668. [Class 132 (ii)' A racquet shaft comprises a metal tube of appropriate length, the central portion c of which is of circular or elliptical cross-section and is made to a form which gradually increases in diameter from an intermediate part towards its ends in either a curved form as shown in the Figure, or in a straight or a stepped form. One end a is attached to the racquet frame, the other end b to the handle, the ends being made parallel or tapered and of circular, elliptical or polygonal cross-section. The thickness of the tube may be uniform or it may vary. Specifications 371,665, 447,270, and 447,320 are referred to.
