[Class 39 (i)] An electron lens in an image intensifier or cathode-ray tube consists of two series of apertured diaphragms D1-D4 and D11-D14, the diaphragms in each series being connected together the two series being interlaced. The diameters of the apertures in the series D1-D4 increase from the photo-sensitive cathode P towards the screen F, while the diameters of the other apertures decrease in the same direction.
