Abstract
487,312. Knitting-machines. STOLL, and STOLL, R., (trading as REUTLINGER STRICKMASCHINENFABRIK H. STOLL & CO.). Jan. 1, 1938, No. 26. Convention date, Jan. 12, 1937. [Class 74 (ii)] In order to permit of a fabric being drawn off downwards in a taut condition from the needles of a flat machine, the loops or stitches at the edges are formed around wire or other guides 12 which extend downwardly through the knock-off combs. The guides are detachably mounted in holders 9 which are grooved at their lower ends to accommodate the wire &c. and are adjustably mounted on a rod 7. During the knitting operation, each guide is so adjusted that a needle is disposed on each side thereof.
