Abstract

486,004. Wall plugs. JORDAN, E., and GASTREICH, J. Oct. 24, 1936, No. 28987. [Class 89 (i)] A wall plug comprises a tubular sleeve which has a smooth bore band which is slit over part of its length to provide three or more prongs c on which are formed ribs or threads d extending across the width of the prongs, the ribs or threads, which are of an external diameter equal to or less than that of the unslit portion a, being spaced apart a distance greater than their thickness by portions of uniform thickness, and the prongs c being inclined towards one another at their free ends. The ribs or threads d may be annular or helical, may be steeper on the side nearer the free ends of the prongs and may increase in height from one edge of the prong to the other. A screw-driver slot e may be provided.
