Abstract
470,712. Sliding doors or windows. ROSKILLY, W. J. Feb. 24, 1936, No. 5482. [Class 20 (iii)] Sliding doors or windows of the kind which lie in the same plane when closed, one being movable into a parallel track 4 by branch tracks 7 or 8 for opening are provided with a spring-pressed fillet 11 which engages the doors when closed, Fig. 7, and is moved transversely against the spring 9 when opening a door. The fillet 11 may have a spring 18a, Fig. 10, fixed by a depending lug and screws 19 to the grooved rail and extending across it or the fillet may be hinged to the grooved rail at 17, Fig. 9, and rotated by a spring into the position of engagement with the closed doors. The face 16a of the hinged fillet is arc-shaped. The doors may be mounted on ball castors 6 or cylindrical studs engaging the grooved rails.
