478,233. Motor-vehicle driving-gear. BALLAMY, L. M. March 3, 1937, No. 23956. Divided out of 471,588. [Class 79 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXII] In a wheel suspension of the kind in which the wheel-carrying arm has a spring connected to it at a point intermediate of its ends the arm 41 of each of two opposite driven road wheels 42 is pivoted about the outer end of a transverse shaft 47 driven from the gear box or like and has co-extensive therewith a driving shaft 45 operatively connected through bevel or other gear 46 with the transverse shaft 47 and also by means of bevel or other gear 48 with the hub of the corresponding road wheel 42. Specifications 471,588 and 479,013, [both in Group XXXII], are referred to.
