Abstract

460,019. Washing-machines. OSTINS, G. F. June 17, 1936, No. 17337/35. [Class 138 (ii)] A domestic washing-machine comprises a perforated cylindrical receptacle 12 having an imperforate sliding door 14 and having trunnions 19, 22 by which it is supported in the stationary casing 6. The trunnion 19 is received in a stirrup 20 on the casing and the trunnion 22 is received in a boss 21 on the receptacle and is slidably mounted in a bearing 23 in the casing whereby the receptacle may be removed from the casing. The receptacle is provided with one or more baffles and the casing is provided with a copper bottom 7 and a heater 8.
