Abstract

466,476. Floors. TRUSSED CONCRETE STEEL CO., Ltd., and GREEN, D. H. Dec. 21, 1936, No. 35112. [Class 20 (iv)] A sound-proof device for supporting a finishing floor from a main floor structure comprises two blocks a, b disposed one above the other and a body d of resilient material which is so arranged in co-operating recessed portions c of the two blocks as to leave a free space e between such members. A single resilient member d may be provided as shown in Fig. 3, or a pair of such members as shown in Fig. 4. The blocks a, b may be of cementitious material, and the block a may be provided with a wood railing-insert f to receive fastening means for the floor joists g. The block b may be positioned by the engagement of an aperture h in the block with a pintle i on one of the structural members of the floor.
