Abstract

465,248. Roller mills. BIRD, H. W., and COATES BROS. & CO., Ltd. Sept. 16, 1936, No. 25265. [Class 59] In a roller mill in which treated material is removed from one of the rollers by a scraper blade, an auxiliary roller is arranged parallel to the mill roller and located on the underside of the scraper for preventing any of the material which has not been scraped off the roller from falling from the undersurface of the scraper and returning it to the mill roller. As shown a scraper 5 removes the ground material from the last roll 3 of a mill and a roller 7 is adjustably arranged under the scraper to replace on the roll any material passing under the scraper. The roller 7 may be driven from the mill roll 3.
