Abstract

450,645. Piston extrusion apparatus. SOKAL, S., 1, Great James Street, Bedford Row, London.-(Eiks Maskinforretning Aktieselkap ; 25, Bredgaten, Stavanger, Norway) Jan. 14, 1936, No. 1232. [Class 102 (i)] [See also Group I] In a pump, which is especially applicable for the destruction of weeds, a reservoir 16 is mounted on a hollow bucket rod 2, or, alternatively, the reservoir is carried on the back of the operator and is connected to the rod 2 by means of a flexible pipe 8. The bucket 1 works in a cylinder 4 discharging through a valve 7 to a hollow needle 5, the penetration of which is limited by a stop 15. During the return stroke of the bucket liquid flows into the cylinder 4 through the rod 2. The return stroke is effected by a spring 10 enclosed in a casing 12 and acting on a collar on the rod 2. The stroke is limited by means of an adjustable stop 14.
