Abstract

449,105. Stays. ASH, W. T., Reliance Works, High Street, Portobello, Willenhall, Staffordshire. March 16, 1935, No. 8235. [Class 65 (i)] A window stay comprises a bar F, with holes to engage a pin G on the frame, pivoted on a vertical axis E to a short member D which is hing- ed to the window on a horizontal axis, the hinge pin in the form shown being integral with the fixing plate C. The member D, or a plate fixed thereto, has two lateral extensions with holes d, one of which, according to the arrangement of the parts, engages the pin G to hold the window closed ; only one of the holes d is used in any particular arrangement of the stay and pin, and the other extension may be omitted. The plate C has a lip to support the part D in the horizontal position when the stay is not engaged with the pin.
