423,319. Conductors looped to provide for extension and contraction; casings for instruments. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and HOWARTH, A., c/o Salford Electrical Instruments, Ltd., Silk Street, Salford. Nov. 22, 1933, No. 32619. [Classes 36 and 37] To prevent chafing and kinking of the conductors 6 in electrical apparatus of the kind comprising a box 1 containing part of the apparatus, for instance a current measuring instrument, and a lid 2 which is hinged to the box and contains another part of the apparatus, e.g. a photoelectric cell, connected to the apparatus in the box by conductors 6, the conductors are coiled one or more times around the pin 3 of the hinge which connects the lid to the box. A space 5 is provided in the hinge to accommodate the coiled conductors, and the conductors are led to and from the hinge pin through channels 7. Specifications 230,962 and 337,858, [both in Class 40 (v)], are referred to.
