424,765. Electromagnets. N KEKYUSHO, KINZOKU ZAIRYO, 75, Katahiracho, Sendai, Japan. July 24, 1933, No. 20876. Convention date, April 8. [Class 35] [See also Group XXXVI] Cores for electro magnets, loading coils, &c. are mad( of pieces of fine wire the length of each piece being from 15 to 500 times its diameter, insulated and arranged longitudinally. Soft iron or permalloy wire À01 cm. in diameter may be employed. The pieces of wire may be arranged in bundles 2, 21, 2<11> placed end to end to make a straight core, as shown in Fig. 2, a ring, or a polygon, or the pieces may be arranged parallel to each other, but overlapping. The pieces should be insulated at both sides and ends, an oxide coating, enamel, rubber or the material known under the Registered Trade Mark " Bakelite " may be employed.
