Convention date, June 16, 1932. [Class 68 (ii).] A device for anchoring sheet piles is characterized in that the flanges g<1>, forming a groove g down which the head of the anchoring-member is slipped, are formed in one piece, which as shown, may be integral with the pile section, but may be formed as a separate piece and welded or otherwise secured to it. The head of the anchoring-member has a dovetail section like that of the groove g, but may be slightly rounded to facilitate lateral movements of the anchoring - members. Two such anchoring members may then be connected to one anchor. The head of the anchoring-member may be in the form of an I-section web, forming a stiffening for the pile.
