Abstract

403,153. Child-carriers. ROSE, W. E. P., 54, Cambridge Avenue, Kilburn, London. July 11, 1932, No. 19515. [Class 52 (ii).] In a foldable carrier for infants of the kind comprising a bottom, sides and back made of canvas &c. and provided with carrying handles d, a folding head-rest m formed by extensions of the sides and back is provided. The carrier comprises a bottom a, sides b, and a back c made of canvas or other material. The handles d are preferably rubber tubes through which straps e connected to the sides and bottom are passed. Straps g and h are provided to retain the child in the carrier, and a detachable apron in the form of a pocket i to contain the child's legs may be provided. The head-rest is formed by extensions m, n of the back and sides, and is normally folded within the carrier as shown, but is raised for use into the position shown in broken lines. When folded, the carrier may be retained by a strap o and buckle p. The bottom a may be reinforced by an insertion of wood &c.
