402,802. Packages for sanitary napkins &c. MEDOFF, W., 366, 5th Avenue. New York, U.S.A. May 11, 1932, No. 13624. Convention date, Sept. 17, 1931. [Classes 18 and 66.] A package for dispensing sanitary napkins, surgical dressings, first-aid pads &c., is made from a blank shape as shown in Fig. 5 which is folded and glued &c. to form the container shown in Fig. 1 in which a flap 11 secured by tongues 12 and slots 13 closes substantially airtight a dispensing opening extending from side to side of the container and provided at its ends with flaps 6. To dispense the contents the closure is raised and the end torn along perforations 8 when one of the napkins &c. can be partly shaken out and then removed by the fingers, the article substantially closing the dispensing aperture during delivery to prevent ingress of dust &c. For use in public places the package may be pivoted in a holder or on trunnions, so that pulling the closure 11 to open the container also feeds forward an article. A cellophane wrapper may be placed around the package or around the group of articles within it.
