Abstract
408,828. Constructional metal sections. TOUSSAINT, H., 23, Waldmannstrasse, Lankwitz, Berlin, and BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO., GES., 33, Bl³cherstrasse, Bochum, both in Germany. June 6, 1933, Nos. 16207 and 16208. Convention dates, June 27, 1932 and March 14, 1933. [Class 20 (ii).] U -section bars with terminal flanges have the webs gradually increasing in thickness towards the flanges and crosschord, which are thicker in section than the webs. The webs 2, Fig. 2, of the bar gradually increase in thickness, as shown by the curves 4, towards the flanges 1 and crosschord 3. The outer edges 6 of the flanges 1, Fig. 4, may be disposed at right-angles to the inner line of the web, while the inner edges 5 are disposed at a slightly greater angle ; it is stated that distortion of the flanges during bending is prevented in this section. Specifications 11046/03, [Class 20], and 355,244 are referred to.
