Abstract

406,800. Window - cleaning devices. REDFORD, J. A., 15, Sandringham Road, and BIRRELL, J., Mill Stone Hotel, Hadricks Mill Road, both in South Gosforth, Newcastleon-Tyne. Oct. 26, 1932, No. 30001. [Class 19.] A covering c, Fig. 2, of rubber clamped between two wooden sheets a, b forms a backing for a wash-leather or polishing cloth k which is detachably secured in place by means of studs j on the sheet a engaging in apertures provided on the cloth. The washleather has a strong fabric back sewn to it, and the polishing cloth comprises two pieces of cloth sewn back to back. In a modification shown in Fig. 5, the rubber covering p is attached by adhesive to the sheet b and is formed with diagonal ribs. A piece of skin k<2> with the wool on the outside is used as the polishing medium.
