Abstract
383,979. Walls; composite building blocks. PARKER, W. J., 2, Highland Place, Blackwood, Monmouthshire. July 22, 1931, No. 20926. [Classes 20 (iv) and 87 (i).] Walls are formed of blocks each having central longitudinal grooves 3 in the top and bottom faces, central vertical grooves 5 of larger diameter in the end faces, and a largediameter, central, vertical hole 4. In building the wall vertical metal rods are placed in the holes 4, while horizontal rods formed with eyes or cranked portions to accommodate the vertical rods are placed in the grooves 3. The block may be formed with an inner face of breeze-concrete, and an outer face of slagconcrete which may be grooved to key with stucco &c. Blocks for use at roof level may be formed with a breeze edge on to which the wall-plates are nailed.
