[Class 52 (ii).] Folding chairs, adapted to be secured together one behind the other and also side by side, are provided with bars a<1> hinged at b to the front legs a and adapted to be turned down to lie upon the ground and engage a front chair by pins c and hooks e, together with pivoted hook latches i to engage pins i<1> on a chair at the side. Claws h also may be provided to engage eyes g<1> on the bars a<1>, and a spring latch r may be provided for securing the bars a<1> to the floor.
