Abstract
381,546. Look - out reflectors for vehicles. MACDONALD, E. W., Linden Walk, South, Lincolnshire. June 24, 1931, No. 18232. [Class 103 (ii).] An adjustable support for road and other vehicle observation mirrors comprises a bottom bracket a having teeth b or holes engaged by a tooth or round projection on the end of a rod m spring-pressed into engagement with the bracket, a bifurcated guide-member pivoted to and straddling the bracket a and through which the rod m slides, and an upper rod r adjustably secured to the rod m and carrying the mirror w. An extension piece may be fitted on the upper end of the member j in order to eliminate vibration of the rod m. The bracket a may be bolted, clamped, or screwed to its support. The rod r may be bent at right-angles and coupled to the rod m as shown in Fig. 19, or both rods t, u, Fig. 14, may be straight and connected by a toothed or equivalent coupling locked by a nut v.
