Abstract
373,604. Fittings for loading and unloading vehicles. WHARTON, W. A., 173, High Road, Wealdstone, Harrow, Middlesex. Feb. 23, 1931, No. 5564. [Class 78 (iv).] The floor of a railway wagon or motor vehicle is fitted with steel shafts A running in ball bearings and carrying short steel rollers B which rotate with the shafts. The shafts are connected by chain-and-sprocket gearing E, D and operated by a hand-wheel F for moving trays or containers on or off the vehicle. As shown, the vehicle is fitted with two independent sets of shafts and rollers.
