Abstract
373,335. Supporting conduit tubes. TANNAHILL, J. B., 9, South Park Drive, Paisley, Renfrewshire. March 27; 1931, No. 9329. [Class 99 (ii).] Electric conduit tubes 13, 22, 25, Fig. 1, are secured to a metal clip 1 by a flexible strap 4 bolted at its ends to the clip 1 and tensioned about the conduits by a slotted buckle 23 and a strainer 30, which comprises a metal rod 14 engaging the outer face of the strap 4 and connected to a strip 17 disposed on the under face of the clip 1 by screws 15, 16, Fig. 5, which are tightened to tension the strap. To prevent electrolytic action between the conduits and the clip 1, a flexible insulating strip 5 is disposed beneath the conduits and is attached to the clip 1 by the bolts 6, 27 which secure the ends of the strap 4. The strip 5 and the strap 4 are formed of the flexible reinforced insulating strip described in Specification 358,627. Flanged washers 7, 26 are disposed on the bolts 6, 27 to prevent spreading of the strap 4 by the bolt heads.
