367,489. Lift valves. MASON, H. L., 103, King Henry's Road, Hampstead, London. Dec. 9, 1930, No. 37158. [Class 135.] The upper part a of the body screws into the lower part m at p and compresses packing h between the valve seat k and an upstanding flange q on the part m. The valve member f screws reversely on the lower end of the spindle so that speed of opening and closing is increased if the friction of the packing is sufficient to prevent rotation of the member f. Specification 280,864, [Class 135, Valves &c.], is referred to.
