Abstract
332,936. Kershaw, G. Jan. 30, 1929. Creel arrangements. - Bobbins, tubes, cones and other bodies used for holding yarns or threads are provided with pegs, slits or other holding means for the tails of yarn which are to be connected to the leading ends of yarn on other bobbins &c. for convenience in the continuous unwinding operation from a series of yarn bodies. As applied to bottle bobbins, two pegs c, Fig. 1, may be provided in the flange b. Slits g, Fig. 14, may be cut in the flange or an aluminium or other strong metal attachment as shown in dotted lines may be used. As applied to a paper or other cone or tube, slits may be made in one end or pegs may be fitted. Pegs may be fitted in the side or in the base of a holder for paper or other cones or tubes.
