Abstract

338,335. Refsgaard, A. C. Oct. 30, 1929. Addition to 325,332. Heating vehicles.-In the apparatus for heating motor vehicles forming the subject of the parent Specification, and comprising an airheating jacket 2 of adjustable crosssection surrounding the exhaust pipe of the motor, a nest of tubes 6 is provided in the exhaust pipe and within the jacket 2 in order to increase the heating effect. The tubes may be connected to the exhaust pipe by nozzleshaped connections 7, 8, or may at one end be connected directly to the silencer, which in this case is also surrounded by the jacket 2. The pipes 6 may be of helical or other form. Air admission openings 14 with wind-scoops 15 may be provided on the underside of the jacket 2. The jacket is formed with a longitudinal seam 18 to allow the diameter to be adjusted.
