322,536. Sandeman Stanley Cotton Betting Co., Ltd., and Laslett, G. Sept. 8, 1928. Belt fastenings. - In belt fastenings of the kind in which the cotton &c. belt ends 3 are bent up between spiked plates 1, 2, the plates are curved at their ends adjacent the pulley and are strengthened by ribs 5. Stops 8<a> engage the heads of the bolts 8, which secure together the plates, and prevent their turning, and such stops may be arranged alternately on the opposing plates. Cushion-pieces 9<a> of belting &c. may be arranged between the belt ends and may project so as to engage the pulley.
