Decoys.-A decoy for attracting wild ducks or the like is made of fabric such as canvas filled in its upper part with powdered cork material and in its lower part with a shaping and reinforcing float member 25 formed by cutting from cork or by compressing powdered cork with a. gLutinous material. Weights 24 to maintain the decoy in an upright position are secured to the float member. The head 9 terminates in a tapered sleeve 13 adapted to receive the base 14 of the beak 16 that is made of wood or similar rigid material and is held in position by the stuffing material bearing on the rear and under faces thereof. After the decoy is stuffed and its seams closed it is dipped in a mixture of linseed) oil and white lead to give it a waterproof coating.
