306,790. Turner, C. J.. Aug. 7, 1928. Guarding against unauthorized use.-A casing 1 containing two sliding bolts 4 is secured to the casing 16 of the steering column. On the operation of a key 14 the bolts engage with (a) the hub- 6 of the steering. wheel 7 and (b) a hole in the end 9 of a shaft 10 connected with the ignition circuit, or engine throttle. The handle 11 on the shaft is turned until the bolt can enter the hole, in which position the ignition circuit is broken, or the engine shut off.
