Abstract

290,820. Little, C. R. May 10, 1927. Binding-posts and terminals.-A terminal 7 such as that of a sparking-plug is enclosed by a hood 2 attached to the end of the cable 5 secured to the terminal, and adapted to be sprung on to the terminal or a collar carried thereby. The hood may be of insulating material and may engage the insulation of the sparking plug &c., or a collar 10, Fig. 4, may be fitted to the plug &c. and provided with peripheral corrugations for engagement with the hood. If the hood is of metal the collar 10 may be of rubber. The hood may be filled with liquid such as oil introduced through an opening 13 and may have cooling fins 12. A lateral opening for introducing a tool to tighten the terminal may be provided.
