Abstract
295,615. Armstrong Siddeley Motors, Ltd., and Smith, F., R. May 14, 1927. Double hinges.-In order to ensure a line rolling contact between rocker and push-rod mechanism, particularly for internal-combustion engine valve gear, a thrust block 7 is inserted so that the contacting surfaces between this block and the push-rod and rocker respectively are rounded in directions at right angles to one another. The upper and lower surfaces of the thrust block may be thus rounded, or the block may be flat and engage rounded surfaces on the rocker and pushrod. The thrust block may be built up of two parts keyed together.
