Transmission gear between separate axles.-In a vehicle having two or more axles driven by worm gearing the power shaft a drives a differential gear b situated between two axles, one differential shaft being formed as a sleeve f encircling the power shaft and carrying a worm f<1> driving one axle whilst the other differential shaft g is coaxial with the power shaft and carries or drives a worm driving the second axle. Where there are more than two axles the shaft g instead of driving a worm becomes a power shaft transmitting motion through a differential gear to the second and third axles in a similar manner to that described above. According to the Provisional Specification the differential gear may be between the engine and the foremost driving axle, one differential shaft being formed as a sleeve upon the other.
