279,782. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. Nov. 1, 1926, [Convention date ]. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Rings. - A blank for use in the production by rolling of rings for roller bearings, and individual rings of ring springs consists of a steel strip A with rounded off narrow sides a<1> and a narrow central slot a<2>, preferably also having rounded off narrow sides. The blank is .opened out by a mandrel &c. and is then rolled into a ring, the fibres in the process being altered from the direction as shown to in Fig. 1 to form substantially circles concentric with the centre of the ring as shown in Fig. 3 so as to increase the tensile and compressive strength.
