Abstract
275,898. Tuthill, J. B. April 11, 1927. Movable-abutment type; regulating pumps and motors; reversing. - The capacity of a rotary pump or engine of the type comprising a rotor 23 having internal teeth 31 meshing with a loosely mounted pinion 36 is regulated by rotatably adjusting a spindle 41 carrying the crescentshaped stator member 40 and the supporting-pin 34 for the pinion 36. An adjustment of 180‹ reverses the direction of flow, thereby interchanging the inlet and outlet sides 12, 13. The necessary adjustment is effected by a handle on the spindle 41, a locking-member 45 being provided.
