Abstract
269,933. Siemens Schuckertwerke Ges. April 24, 1926, [Convention date]. Transformers.-In disc coils for transformers, the layers of turns or groups thereof are separated by blocks 4, preferably of wood, glued at intervals to a band 3 of fibrous material wound on the coil former simultaneously with the conductor 2. The blocks may be arranged alternately on opposite sides of the band 3 to afford access of cooling oil to both sides of the conductor. In a modified arrangement, the blocks are formed by folding the band 3 as shown in Fig. 5.
