Abstract
267,323. Stieglitz, K. March 22, 1926. Syringes. - In a surgical syringe, for hypodermic injections and the like, comprising a glass barrel 1 and a glass plunger 6, the barrel 1 is provided with a metal cap 8 bayonet-jointed to a metal ring 12 on the barrel and carrying a spring-gripping device 9 adapted to brake the plunger 6. The device 9 comprises a C-spring secured within the cap 8 and having turned-in ends 11 engaging one or more flats 10 on the plunger. The delivery end of the barrel 1 is protected by a metal cap 5. The delivery nozzle may be in the axis of the syringe or at any angle thereto.
