Abstract

When shaving with a wet shaver, the blade invariably will wear which usually results in the blunt blade cutting the skin and causing irritation. It is difficult to know or remember how many shaves the blade has been used for. To eliminate this problem, a simple solution is to attach a dial counter (a) on the razor handle (b) in order to rotate the dial by hand in increments each time the razor is used and never using the blade more than the desired amount of times. A spring loaded ball bearing slots into a recess in the dial (a).

<p>WET SHAVER WITH COUNTER</p>
<p>Product design and specflcation Attach a solid plastic dial (a) to a razor handle (b), numbered around the diameter with numbers 1-6 (or more if desired). The size of the dial would be in proportion to the razor and easily turned by the fingers. The dial would fit at the head of the razor ( c) and be sprung loaded in order to create a friction. The spring load would be in the form of a hole in the razor head (d). In this hole(d) a spring (e) would be inserted along with a ball bearing (f) placed on top of the spring, but held captive in the razor. The dial would be fitted to the razor using a securing screw(g).The dial (a) will have a number of recessed holes (h) underneath, which would correspond directly underneath each number (i). The recessed holes (h) will slot into the ball bearing (f) allowing it to click to each number (i) following turning of the dial(a) Components used 1. Dial (a) 2. Razor (b) 3. Head(c) 4. Ball bearing (f) 5. Spring(e) 6. Securing Screw (g)</p>

  1. <p>WET SHAVER WITH COUNTER</p>
    <p>Claims 1. The razor counter will count each time the razor is used by the rotation of the dial attached to the razor body.</p>
    <p>2. The dial will have a numbered index, which will rotate by hand and stop at each number determined by the sprung loaded ball bearing which is located in the shaver body beneath the dial.</p>
    <p>3. The counter will turn to the next incremental number after each shave 4. The razor blade will only be used a set number of times before becoming blunt</p>
