Abstract
A post bracket for securing to a post, provided with hooks to support a hanging basket, bird feeder or similar items. The front of the bracket consists of a frame made with metal wire or rods. Attached to this frame are two elongate plate members, that are parallel to, but displaced with respect to, the front wire frame. The plates are attached to the front wire frame also by rod or wire members. These flat plate members that enable the bracket to slide down and fit in the gap between the post and the fence. The bracket is provided with two hooks, also made with rod/wire sections, located at either side of the front of the bracket for supporting the hanging baskets. Provided also is a lower extension frame for the above described post bracket. The extension frame has hooks provided on its upper portion to engage with the post bracket and it is also provided further down with two angled brackets that also slot into the gap located between the back of the post and the fence panel. The lower portion of the extension frame is also provided with hooks for hanging baskets or bird feeders. Materials used for the bracket can be metal, or a mixture of plastic and metal, and the construction can comprise steel wire, flat steel or steel mesh.
Description
24 1 7882 Easy Hang Bracket Easy Hang Bracket' is a bracket made of metal
or a mixture of plastic and metal which enables the concrete posts (which are used to support garden fence panels) to be used for hanging planters, various other types of hanging basket arrangements and hanging bird feeders.
The material used in the construction of the 'Easy Hang Bracket' in metal can be either a) steel wire b) 30 x 2mm flat steel or c) steel mesh The foundation of the bracket, in either material, then has 20 x 2 mm flat steel pieces attached to the rear of it which slide down in between the concrete post and the fence panel Also attached to the foundation bracket are two hooks on the front of the bracket which are used for attaching whatever you need to hang from the concrete post.
There is an extension which enables the 'Easy Hang Bracket' to adapt it so that another item can be attached lower down, underneath the top one. This is made up of two steel rods with two hooks on the top and two hooks on the bottom. Attached to the two hooks at the bottom are two angled brackets. These then slot into the gap which is located between the back of the concrete post and the fence panel A piece of the 20 x 2 mm flat slots onto the front of this to keep the extension secure.
The 'Easy Hang Bracket' can also be used to attach a hanging bird feeder by attaching two flat steel strips 20 x 2 mm. These are attached to the front of the 30 x 2 mm flat It can also be used for a hanging basket if a steel strip is welded to the front of the Easy Hang Bracket. Claim
Claims (1)
- The finished product is so lightweight that anyone of any age can easilyslip the bracket onto a fence panel concrete post support.Brackets can be made in various sizes to accommodate different sizes and styles of hanging plant containers.
