Abstract

A wall mounted martial arts breaking frame comprises a main frame, padding and two upright struts which are fixed to the wall. The breaking frame is attached to the struts and the height may be adjusted by loosening the adjusters and sliding the frame up and down the struts. The breaking boards are held at the front of the frame with an adjustable toe which allows a number of boards to be fitted in the frame. A central support is padded for safety. The frame is constructed of light weight materials.

to a wall mounted martial arts Breaking frame. Breaking frames are devices that hold breaking boards, which have two boards that are joined together at the centre by slotting together,when these boards are secured to the breaking frame,they can then be broken at the centre by force of either the martial artists hand orfoot.
According to the present invention therefore provided, A means to allow breaking frame to be wall mounted and Height adjustable,the device comprises of the main frame,securing strap and 2 wall mounted uni strut slides, also padding as shown in attached drawings;for added safety of user.

The frame is designed to hold 1 or two sets of breaking boards,initially but through interchangeable feet (included with kit) more boards can be added.
a strap fits around the top of the boards and then around the top of the frame An adjustable toe is included at the base of the frame which is adjusted in or out,as required to allow either 1 or 2 sets of boards to rest on it.When these feet are changed for extended feet more boards can be added as previously described).
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example of the accompanying drawings in which: Sheet 1/3 shows front and side elevations,the side view of which shows breaking boards secured in frame, width of the frame is a fraction shorter than the actual width of the breaking boards,therefore boards will sit in frame without showing any part of it to ensure safety of user.
Sheet 2/3 shows a plan view of the frame showing the positions of the adjustable height screw fixing points to wall mounted uni strut.
Sheet 3/3 shows an isometric view of the frame.
Refering to the drawings this device is secured to 2 uni struts which in turn are secured to any brick or concrete wall using 4*1 OOmm wall fixing screws frame can be height adjusted by loosening the adjusters which attach frame to uni strut and then by moving frame up or down uni strut slides to desired height then tightening bolVnut adjusters on the frame/slide.
