240,993. Dyson, W. H. Sept. 29, 1924. Illumination, changing advertisements by controlling. -- In advertising, displaying, and like apparatus an illusion of change is-produced by illumination in succession from different directions of a background provided with projecting and incised parts consisting of variously shaped and directed planes or facets. Parts of the representation may be coloured to neutralize an undesired shadow. The background may carry two or more subjects which are brought into view by rotating the background on a central pivot. As shown the background is mounted in a suitable framing 11 and the leads 15 for the electric illuminating devices 14 are connected to a control device.
