Abstract

A piece of double-sided adhesive tape 3 is placed on the insole of a shoe so that it secures the sole of the user's foot to the shoe 1. One side of the adhesive may be hypo-allergenic so that it can be placed safely against the skin.

Description

Invention: Walking AJS This invention relates to a device designed to be inserted into (ladies) shoes.
Some types of shoe eg: mules, strappy sandals do not give enough support to the foot to allow the wearer to walk securely in them.
This means that the wearer may walk in an unbalanced manner and inelegantly.
To overcome this, the present invention proposes a double-sided adhesive tape (the side which will be facing the foot must be hypo-allergenic, the underside must have adhesive which will be easily removable from the shoe without damaging the insole), which the wearer places inside the shoe. This will effectively stick the insole of the shoe to the base of their foot, thus eliminating the wobbly feeling that some have when wearing these types of shoe.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings: Figure 1 shows a foot walking out of the shoe with each step.
Figure 2 shows the invention being placed into position in the shoe.
Figure 3 shows the shoe now secured to the foot therefore allowing the wearer to walk properly.
In figure 1, the shoe 1 is shown along with the wearers foot 2 in mid-stride. With the wearers foot 2 being lifted from the shoe by the action of walking.
Figure 2, shows the invention 3 being placed into the shoe 1. With the invention in place the wearers foot will be secured to the insole of the shoe once they step into the shoe 1.
Figure 3, shows the wearers foot 2 now being held in place in the shoe 1 by the invention, enabling the wearer to walk normally and securely in the shoe.

Claims (2)

  1. Claims: 1. A walking-aid comprising a piece of double-sided tape, designed to be placed into a shoe to enable the wearer to walk securely and in a balanced manner.
  2. 2. A walking-aid according to claim 1, where one adhesive side is hypo-allergenic so that it can be placed safely against the skin, the other is designed to be sticky to the insole of the shoe but not to damage it when removed.
