Abstract

245,630. Greaves, H. J. Feb. 24, 1925. Jigs.-In jigs of the kind described in Specification 218,561, and comprising screens D through which pulsations of water are produced by means of compressed air, and in which fine material which passes through the screens is passed by screw conveyers E to one or more elevator boots W, the shaft O of the conveyer K is coupled to the shaft N of the elevator sprocket L by means of a sleeve P in which it can slide, and the opposite end of the shaft O is supported in a bearing S held in place by a distance piece T, the removal of which enables the shaft O to be slid out of the sleeve P and the screw conveyer to be withdrawn through the boot W. The shaft 0 may be in two or more, pieces to facilitate removal.
