Abstract
A glass includes a regular beverage holder (A) with a removable and replaceable plastic watertight seal (C) for a cavity in the base (B). When fully secured the seal will allow for space within the cavity of the base of the glass for any object of that size (E). The seal (C) will be made to ensure maximum visibility of the cavity from all angles. Ridges (D) moulded into the beverage holder's base and the seal will ensure the seal can be removed and replaced when the object within the cavity (E) is to be changed. Preferably these ridges will allow the seal to be screwed in and out of place. The object in the cavity may be decorative or carry a message, advertisement or game.
Description
CAVITY GLASS
The invention relates to a beverage holder of the type which includes a removable and replaceable seal on the base, which gives access to a cavity for the storage of suitably sized objects.
Beverage holders in this fashion are well known, furthermore beverage holders with decorative bases are available, however such beverage holders do not allow repeated access to objects within the base. This invention would allow access to a secure watertight area for decoration of the beverage holder which would not deteriorate with use.
An object of this invention is to provide an item of which the style can be changed on demand, and which may be used to portray messages or decoration, at home or in public, for long or short-term use. Accordingly this invention provides a beverage holder with a moulded ridged cavity within the base, to accept an under length seal allowing room for appropriately sized objects therein. Items stored with the cavity will be secure and accessible.
Preferably the cavity glass will be made of clear glass with a plastic seal in the base, however the cavity glass may also be made entirely of either glass or plastic depending on demand or safety issues.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIGURE 1 - shows the beverage holder from the base at a thirty-
degree angle with the seal intact.
FIGURE 2 - shows a side view of the beverage holder, with the seal, cavity and ridges held within the base.
FIGURE 3 - shows a view directly over the base of the beverage holder, with the seal intact.
FIGURE 4 - is showing the beverage holder again from the base at a thirtydegree angle. The seal is open, making the moulded ridges visible.
As shown in figure 4 the beverage holder (A) has a cavity in the base (B) before the seal (C) is introduced. The ridges (D) allow for the removable seal to be attached to the base of the beverage holder, and to be secure and water tight.
Figure 2 shows the cavity (E) which remains within the base (B) of the beverage holder (A) after the seal (C) has been entirely secured.
When the seal is open an article of appropriate size may be placed firstly within the cavity, and then securely sealed within. Articles within the cavity may be accessible and removed and replaced when needed. l
