Abstract

A brassiere with a flexible insert 2 embedded in the cup of a bra, to act as an underwire, with elastic panels 3 attached to the side of the cups to allow the insert 2 to adapt to the movements of the wearer's body. The flexible insert 2 is preferably an extension spring (fig 1b) that will hold the cups of the bra in a predefined shape. The side panels 3 preferably stretch diagonally to the straps 4 of the bra allowing the insert 2 to adapt to the wearer's body for comfort.
