Abstract

238,454. Brougham, F. J., (Brock-- schmidt, W.). Jan. 10, 1925. Driving and like chains with separate joint pins. -The side plates A, B of each link are formed at one end with lateral tubular members A<2>, B<3>, the latter having in its bore an inwardly tapered enlargement and the member A <2> being adapted to be driven and spread laterally into it. The member B<3> extends to the opposite side A and supports a roller C. A clearance is left at the end of the member A<2> to retain lubricant. Projections B<2> on one side engage with the square heads of the pins D to prevent these from rotating, and the pins are secured by cotters D<2>.
